Omg YUM! Stopped by for a quick breakfast and everything was absolutely delicious. Accidentally dropped my croissant and the staff quickly brought me a new one. Wonderful service, great atmosphere!

Food: Breakfast/Brunch - Avocado Toast Number Two: "Tornado Eggs?" This egg art is gorgeous- I'm calling it "The Whipped Eggs Rose." So good. Just make sure to ask for the toast part to be toasted and you're golden. And a latte. He ordered the green juice and daily special Carrot "Loaf." Cute drawing of a bunny on the menu added that just-for-today (maybe not just today?) whimsical touch. Plated with a fresh, fan-cut strawberry and spoon-shaped dollop of crème fraîche. I love it when my food is visually entertaining. He enjoyed the Carrot Loaf. I tried it--crumbly top, fresh, moist cake, but too cinnamony for my taste. I think carrot cake - er, loaf - is supposed to be cinnamony, though. Green juice--fresh, tart, tasty. I overdid it with a perfectly French croissant for "dessert." It was served warm - that's the ticket. Wait time: Early birds were already digging in at 9:15am, but plenty of spots to choose from. By the time we paid the check at 11am there was a line. Service: Politely friendly, attentive and prompt. Ambiance: Whitewashed, exposed brick. Minimalist, but in a good, somewhat rustic, way. Soft lighting--granted it was a bright, sunny day. Some plants. Intimate atmosphere, but roomy enough with airy space up and around to feel like my space is mine. Well-behaved patrons - important. Volume: Voices kind of blended in to the amplified, inoffensive, music - not too loud, but loud enough for me, a hard-of-hearing person, to want to find "the quietest" table... Seating: ... which was either one of the outdoor "COVID-era curbside tables," (ha, just made that up!) or where we sat in the sweet spot window seat--a rare blend of sitting inside facing away from the speakers toward an open-wall window w/a view of the LES morning passersby. Sensibly placed tables, (except for one two-top along the entryway/servers' main traffic path). Price: Some may balk at the $60 tab including tip for one (1) entree and the rest. HOWEVER, I contest, you're not just paying for the food--which was delicious. Anyone can sling an egg on a plate. But for someone like me, who lives in a "cozy," balcony-less, Manhattan apartment, if I'm going to propel myself out of my agoraphobic membrane and venture out into the wild urban landscape and pay someone to serve my meal, it better be a damn good spot that ticks off all the above not-food things. So, quite reasonable, considering. Verdict: I'll be back to this seemingly under the radar, hip, not grungy, LES joint to try other delicious-looking things on the menu

Very cute place! Love a lot of the artwork and there is indoor and outdoor seating. I got the brown sugar shaken espresso- delicious! It says to just try it on the menu and you should. My partner and I split the kimchi scrambled breakfast and added avocado, it was flavorful and a great portion. 10/10 loved this place we went back a second day. Can get busy so I recommend to get a reservation if you can! I tried getting a shirt but they didn't have my size unfortunately but they have cute merch (good quality too).

I was looking for a brunch spot near my hotel and stumbled on Good Thanks Cafe. I made a reservation and was excited to try this spot! So glad it didn't disappoint and it was so good I had to come back. I was here Monday and Tuesday and absolutely loved my breakfast both days. Staff were really kind and friendly. I loved the simple and cozy aesthetic. I ordered the iced shaken brown sugar coffee and it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly foamy and not overly sweet. To eat I had the kimchi scramble with a side of avocado. This was so good. The labneh and kimchi were such a great flavor. The sourdough was so fresh. I also ordered the croissant with butter and jam. The croissant is from a local bakery and it was just okay. The menu has lots of options for food and drink. So glad to have experienced Good Thanks! Will definitely come back the next time I'm in the city.
